Do you tip the housekeeping staff at a hotel? If so, how much? And what is an appropriate tip at a buffett? I figure they don't serve me my food or check back and make sure everything is ok, so generally I just tip them a few bucks. Is that enough? Also, my hair dresser also washes and styles my hair- on a $28 bill, is a $7 tip appropriate?
Who to tip and much is appropriate?
It is nice to tip housekeeping because most have low wages, and its just nice, - $3-4
Buffet- Just $1-2
Hair dresser-$5-7 for $25-$60 bill
Who to tip and much is appropriate?
I don't always tip the housekeeping staff, unless I was a real slob and I was there for more than a few days.
Only tip at a buffet if they serve you drinks, then only a buck or two is necessary.
7 bucks on 28 is a 25% tip, that's generous. Anywhere between 15 to 20% is decent.
Who to tip and much is appropriate?
I tip hotel housekeeping $5 for one night, or $3 per night if staying multiple nights. I tip 10% at buffets, and 20% at my hair dresser. $7 on $28 is 25%, so that is appropriate and quite generous.
