I cut my bangs a while ago and they were all messed up and my hair dresser had to cut them in real bangs but now I am wearing them to the side *hence side bangs* and how can i make them look longer and better?!

Although straightening your bangs makes them a little longer, I don' t think it'll get you the difference you were hoping for. I would reccomend and say that the most obvious and easiest answer would be to wear your hair off of your face. Hair away from the face, straight back from the forehead, hides in shorter lengths with longer ones and creates the illusion of a choppy haircut instead of bangs. Another option is to pull your bangs out a little farther back to the middle of your head than they were cut and comb forward. This brings out hair that would normally go back, and once swept forward and to the side creates the illusion that your hair is longer in the front.
