Bring pictures. If you don't want it messed up. but first cover the people's faces and try to REALLY pinpoint what it is you like about the hair. The length, the color ect. It is easy to to want a haircut when you see the whole picture. When you cover their face you can really focus more on the HAIR. If you are too embarassed to bring in the pictures, yu won't have the confidence to pull it off. And I am not saying that to be rude at all. Your hairdresser should remain professional and if they are not, ask for someone else!

I'm not sure, but I have similar hair [for a girl, anyway... it's longer as well] and I just printed out the pictures and showed them to my hairdresser. It is MUCH easier than trying to explain it, and I got the exact style I wanted this way, so I recommend it. Good luck.

You HAVE to bring the pictures in. It won't be embarrassing a lot of people do it and they have seen and heard about everything from their clients. It's easier for them to cut the hair from a picture then cut it from anything you tell him/her.
