Huge hair problems with hair clr. PLEASE HELP.?

I have no money to go to the hair dressers. I have black hair and wish to have a mohogany tint to it but I can not seem to get it there. What can I do to correct this. It isn't bad now but it would be nice to get a little change going on here. I have bleached my hair three times myself but with experiance but i do not wish to do that again. This is the first hair clr. problem i have ever had. Excet for when I had orange hair.

cheers

On black hair it needs to be prelightened to get color to take, what would be pretty would be to pull it thru a cap and bleach up just a few shades then apply the mahogany tint, no need to bleach really light just enough so the mahogany will show up, dont apply bleach all over use a cap, u will have a mess if u try to bleach whole head, after u bleach it up apply the tint all over, it will show up good on the prelightened strands and give the black just a hint of the color, u can also cover with a plasctic cap take ur blowdryer and heat it up some, the heat will help the color penetrate better and last longer, use a good shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair to help color last longer too

I'm sorry to say with having black hair your only option is to bleach it to white. Not only that, it is your best option to go to a professional. If you do that incorrectly you can severely damange your hair (it may even fall out.)

Bleaching dark hair is best left to the professionals since it will go orange before blonde and that kind of shock can cause it to break off very easily.

Getting a mohogany tint can be done w/o bleach w/ a type of temporary shades product that coats your hair rather than strip it. This of course is much healthier for your hair (makes it more shiny too) but it fades.

Sorry, I dont know. If you dont have money to go to the hair dressers. I would just die your hair back to black. Sorry for not helping much!
