Wht color dye should I use?!?!?

My hair color was brown(colored)I thought i'd change it up a bit so I went to the salon.I asked for light brown hair with dark blonde highlights.It looks pretty from the bottom of my hair but at the top near my roots it shows a light aburn ugly color which i hate!! I went back to the hair dresser andshe gave me a dye i can do at home.It was "very light ash violet blonde" but sense she screwed up my hair 2 times all ready I have a feeling its going to screw up my hair again.My experienced sister said dye it light brown it turned out good on her So im just wondering what color dye should i use. Any ideas PLEASE HELP !! thanx

YIKES!! Maybe You should go to the same salon and ask them to fix it. Try using a light ash brown or a dark golden brown! I have a darkish golden brown colour and it looks soo cute and its wayy different than my old colour. So maybe you should try something new, like a different colour so it will stand out. Hope I could help....Go to some websites like clairol or loreal...something like that!

Wow... I have learned from experience that dying your hair at home is NOT a good idea. I mean...if you have grey hair, it's fine, because my hairdresser said that grey hair doesn't have pigment. But you don't have grey hair...

I have had many at-home dying disasters, and I still haven't learned to just go to the salon in the first place. I would just get your hair dyed a light brown at the salon and go to get your roots touched up whenever you need it.

Trust me, if you go too light at home your hair will look orange and fried. It happened to me.

If you already have auburn and brown in your hair and you add any color with the word "ash"on there..You are gonna get a GREENISH toneadded to your hair!!!

I cant believe someone at a salon would give you a color with this in it..ggeezzz!

I have never had anyone at a salon sell me hairdye...

Another thing is once you have your hair any kind of darker shade auburn /light brown..The only way your gonna get it to go lighter would be frosting/bleaching!

You need to call loreal or clariol..Dont play around with your hair!

I would go back to the Salon and tell then to fix it!!! (they should do so free of charge) If they refuse report them to The State Board of Hair Dressers

What you may want to do is go get your money back. Then go to a different Salon and ask if they can fix it so it looks good then let it grow out and get healthy. Keep it trimmed every 6wk. If you are not careful your hair can either fall out or it can just keep breaking off because of split ends.
