I want my friends to highlight my hair.?

I already bought the hairdye and I'm using the caping method. I asked alot of people and they said I shouldn't let them do it but I asked this hair dresser and she didn't have a problem with it as long as I didn't have chemicals in my hair so what do you think I should do? I REALLY don't want to go to the salon and get it done. Do you think I'll be ok doing it at home???

It sounds as if your hair is in good condition to highlight...but as a hairstylist, I know what can go wrong with friends trying to apply bleach to your hair. So I'd be more conerned with the application getting screwed up...if too much product is applied, then it will "bleed" through the holes in the cap and give you big spots. If not enough product is applied, then it won't work at all and waste everyone's time. Have your friends done anything like this before? How did it come out? These are things you need to look at. Lots of people do their own hair at home, and it turns out fine! Trust your friends, even if the worst was to come, and something went wrong, you could always dye it back to its original color.

I've been dying my hair at home for years and it has always turned out fine! There's really nothing to be worried about.

The capping method? Well just be sure to keep it all on the cap because if it falls over your other hair it will dye it the same as the highlights (I know 'cause that happened to me the frst time I did highlights)
