Side bangs questions?

i really wanted side bangs but i have some questions before i go to the salon.

%26gt;do you think its OK to get them cut at a place like great clips or super cuts? do i need to go to a fancy place? i want to save money. =]

%26gt;i have a round face and a large forehead, will side bangs help slim my face or just fatten it?

%26gt;will i get extra zits?

%26gt;are they a pain to pin back everyday? will they eventually train to stay mostly out of my face?

%26gt; will straightening them burn them to death? i'll try blow drying, but what if i need to straigthen them? should i just avoid getting them?

%26gt;could i get side bangs without layers in the rest of my hair? would that look weird?

%26gt;and how far over does the part need to be, or would the hair dresser know that?

Side bangs questions?

Side bangs are a great way of getting bangs without too much commitment. If you are nervous you can have the stylist cut them longer at first and then you can have her cut them shorter if you like them.

As far as your face, the bangs will be good for disguising your "large" forehead. If you are worried about your round face, make sure that any face-framing layers start at least an inch or two below your chin.

Believe it or not, bangs are actually fairly difficult to cut. I wouldn't recommend going to a discount hair salon to get it done. Also, most hair stylists offer free bang trims between your regular haircuts. (Don't trim them yourself! You'll regret it!!)

There's a chance that you may get zits. This depends on your skin and how prone to acne you are.

A common spot for a side part is to part it above one of your eyebrows, and at the highest part of the arch of your eyebrow. The hairdresser could help you decide where your part should be.

If you want to straighten your bangs you can use a normal brush while you dry them, a paddle brush, or a really large round brush. Just don't use a small round brush or you'll end up with the curled under "bangs tunnel" from the 80's! Also, when you are drying them use the brush to flip them up (the opposite of curling them under) a couple of times. This helps them to stay to the side and out of your eyes. Also, you can spray them with hairspay.

Something to know, even when side-swept bangs are out of your eyes, they can still feel like they are in your eyes. It can take a while to get used to feeling your hair on your forehead and that close to your eyes!

Good luck!

Side bangs questions?

i cut my side bangs myself and they look fine, no you will not get extra zits, i don't ever pin mine back, so idk about that, i straighten mine almost every day and they aren't burnt.

Side bangs questions?

that is alot of questions.

1) if you want to trust someone at supercuts, then go for it. i wouldnt trust someone at a salon like that with my hair though.

2) it will slim your face not flatten it.

3) why would you get extra zits? i dont get that. i would say you wouldnt get extra zits.

4) i wouldnt pin them back everyday, mostly i would part them to the side. and no they are not a pain to pin back everyday.

5) no. if you blow dry them you will still need to straighten them

6) i dosent look strange, ive seen a lot of people without layers and it looks pretty.

7) the hair dresser will know.

Side bangs questions?

Well, If your fat then side bangs are a no no,

Which i dont think you are, They will just

even it out. And yah you can go to a cheesy place

that that, Extra zits, Myabee. I have them i dont get them,

I just clense everynight, or use a toner, Well you dont always have the pin them back, if your afraid they wont stay in place,

just make sure that you dont have a cow lick on the side your doing it, as for straightening, Just make sure you use a anti-burn spray for your bangs, or, Just dont do it everday. Of couse you dont have to get layers, but there really cute! And easy to take care of, but it will take about 2 years for them to grow out to your normal hair, if you get them like really short. So no it would not look weird. You dont need the part over at all. Its cut a weird way that it just stays. If you have anymore questions talk to your hairdresser. I wish you Luck,

Good Luck %26amp; Shine On.

Side bangs questions?

1. Hairdressers are hairdressers, they'll know how to do side bangs because they're very popular. Almost everyone has them, even the guys! So It's fine.

2. I think side bangs will definitely make your face look slimmer. Personally, I think that if you have your hair in a straight part, straight down each side, it makes your face look fatter.. that's why I have side bangs.

3. Not really, I mean it depends on what type of skin you have. If it's oily, you might. Just make sure that you wash your face day and night with hot water, use an astringent, then splash your face with cold water after the astringent dries. That way, your pores will be closed and the dirt and oil from your bangs wont get into them. My suggestion would be to pin them up before you go to sleep at night, just in case. I haven't had any abnormal amount of pimples where my bangs are because I pin them up at night, and a lot in the daytime too.

4. You shouldn't have to pin them back every day. Your hairdresser should be able to cut them right so that they lay nice. Don't just tell her "I want side bangs"... bring in a good picture of exactly how you want them done or else you won't be happy. I actually cut my bangs myself! They turned out just the way I wanted them, because I knew exactly what I wanted.. but that's beside the point.. anyway, yeah your bangs should stay out of your face if you get them done the right way. I pin mine up sometimes just because I straighten my naturally curly hair a LOT, and my bangs kinda frizz up in the humidity. Plus, it looks cute to pin them up too. Just always have bobby pins in your purse or in your pocket. With side bangs, THEY'RE LIFE SAVERS! I'm not kidding. The last day of school, my bangs totally frizzed and I didn't have a single bobby pin! And neither did anyone else I had! So just have them with you in case your bangs bother you.

5. If you have naturally straight/slightly wavy hair, you probably won't have to worry about straightening them. Just use a heat activator spray before straightening so they don't get fried from your iron.

6. Yeah, you can do that. It would look fine. I don't have layers, but I do have my hair cut on an angle. But I know people with straight cut hair and side bangs, it looks fine.

7. Your hairdresser will show you where you should part your hair. If she doesn't, definitely ask her or the angle will be all wrong. There's two ways you can wear your side bangs though: with a straight part, except for where the bangs are, or with a part an inch or so to the side of where you'd normally part your hair.

Side bangs questions?

- nawh. not unless you know someone there who's actually really good at cutting hair.

-it depends on how you wear them,

-um. no. not unless you dont wash your face ?

-if you dont change your part everyday, then your bangs should stay where you want them, you dont need to pin them to the side unless they really piss you off.

-not unless you have super thin bangs, or a blazing hot straightner? then no. they should be fine.

-i say it looks better with layers, it evens it out, but without them would be fine too. whatever floats your boat.

-um, no. thats completely up to you. just, dont part it down the middle?

ps. side bangs arent such a big deal ? just do it. if you dont like them, pin them back till they grow out . im sure they'll look nice though.

Side bangs questions?

Good side bangs should be able to part either side! You can achieve this by cutting a slight v shape...i said slight....

They will not make you look fat if they do not fall at the widest point of your face. When you have lines at the wide points of your face, it draws attention. They will help cover your forehead!

Your bangs will definately train!

No layers, no problem

Depending on your skin, on the zits. It could happen because of the oil in your hair. Try not to always be playing with them with your hands. This brings more oil to the area.

You may wear them pinned to the side at night, this will help "train them" faster, and its not like anyone sees you that matters.

There are some really cute ways to wear your bangs pinned!
