Was this a bad idea?

I found an ad online offering free hair services. The catch was that you had to let your air get done in front of about 30 ppl because it was like a showcasing. A super hair dresser would come from new york, maybe it was philly. anyway they come down to a specific salon and teach new technique and fads. they need models to demonstrate on, they get to demonstrate and i get my hair done for free. I had to sign a paper saying i came into that volantarily and that i could not get them in any trouble if i did not like my hair. AND if they took pics they could do what they want. My "payment" is a free hair do, and snacks.

Go on ahead, it sounds great!

Was this a bad idea?

Sounds like a good deal if it's a professional hairdresser. He should know what will look good with your face type and what's in style. I'm sure he'll let you have atleast a little input.

Was this a bad idea?

Sounds great. I would do it.

Was this a bad idea?

All I would say is to make sure that the hairdresser is definately a pro.

If they are, go right ahead.

It sounds like a sweet idea.

:]

As long as you know it's real and it's safe, then go ahead! :)

Just bring someone with you.

Was this a bad idea?

that's great as long as your up for a new style and it could be anything.

Was this a bad idea?

this is a very good deal!!

maybe talk to the stylist, if she looks nice enough, and tell her what you don't want. that way, you won't hate your new 'do.

if you get picked / do it have fun and im insanley jelous!!

Was this a bad idea?

yes it is a bad idea. they are going to give you a haircut that will probably make you cry. i'm a hairdresser and i know for a fact the reason they make you sign a release is they plan on giving you a haircut they know you'll hate. i've been to so many hair shows. there is usually one team that does these crazy cuts and colors and another team called "damage control" which means after they give you the initial cut, someone has to try to salvage your haircut and make it into something wearable but it will probably be too late. i've seen someone get get one half of her head shaved to the skin while the other half was left long. to get an idea of what you're in for, look for Vidal Sasson website.

my advice to you would be not to show up because i can almost guarantee you won't like what they do.

Was this a bad idea?

Sounds like a good idea to me!!
